My name is Mallory Fisher and I am an International Business student at the University of Nevada, Reno. In my past four years in college I have seen myself transform almost into someone I wouldn’t have recognized as a senior in high school; my path in life has taken more twists and turns than I ever imagined it would. I’ve been sure of every one of these paths as they’ve come, and just as unsure as I’ve deviated from them for something better. I’m always searching for the next big thing, the next step that will catapult me into the rest of my life, and it wasn’t until recently that I realized that I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up. I also decided that there is nothing wrong with that.
My international travels abroad have made me realize how much world there is to see and understand and experience, and have also opened my eyes to the fact that a great majority of the world doesn’t realize that at all. I am nowhere near fearless, but this is my journey to getting there. Living and learning abroad has made me more self-confident, independent, and ambitious, and has given me invaluable life skills and unforgettable experiences. I hope to share these experiences through this blog and help people to understand that it’s okay not to know exactly where you want your life to be, and that being dead-set on a path to a certain goal can take you speeding past countless experiences that could change your life for the better. Be bold. Be brave. Join me on the path to becoming fearless.
